Welcome
to the Assisted Conception Unit, part of the integrated
fertility services offered by Birmingham Women’s
Healthcare Trust. We aim to support you with guidance
and counselling through every step of your care as we
understand only too well the emotional intensity
associated with fertility treatment. We are proud of our
medical and scientific skills and the experience of our
staff, but also of the friendly atmosphere you will
encounter.
We now offer the
most advanced laboratory facilities in the Midlands, and
this is reflected in our current results. We are also
one of only two Assisted Conception Units in the country
based in a dedicated women’s hospital, giving you
continuity of care from diagnosis to delivery.
By tailoring your
treatment specifically to your clinical needs we aim to
give you the best chance of success. Supported by an
active research programme we are constantly looking for
ways of improving diagnosis and treatment, and we have
particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of
male infertility.
You can also help
us to improve our service by giving us feedback about
your experience. Let us know what you liked, and what we
could do better. Help us to do our best for you.

previously Scientific Director at Bourn Hall and is a

Embryologists).

First Choice for Excellence in Integrated
Fertility Treatment
The Assisted Conception Unit offers specialist care to
couples or single women who are experiencing difficulty
with conception. The aim of the Trust and our Unit is to be a place that
couples, women
and families choose first, and where people want to
work.
